I can read and write (a bit) in XML and SFZ code. If you have any techie questions about GPO5 please ask. Haven't been to the forums in a while, so apologies for jumping in. The ARIA player has been updated with several new convolution reverbs added and two new controls. These older samples haven't been upgraded so far as I'm aware. It's true to say that the majority of the new instruments I've looked at, to date, have multiple, stereo samples per note, between two and four I'd say (hence "sonic morphing"), whereas I don't think this occurred at all with the old GPO4 samples. The size of the new libraries FAR outweighs that of the old. And, strangely, neither can ALL of the new instruments, there are still a few that aren't finished yet it seems. Detailed (but incomplete to date) examination of the XML code files (in Banks and GUI folders) and of the SFZ files (in Instruments) have revealed that not all the GPO4 instruments can be accessed. However, that is not to say that ALL the old samples are available as instruments via ARIA. All the unnumbered libraries are the new ones. In the GPO5 sample library list below, you'll see a numbered set of sample libraries which exactly matches the library set in GPO4.
So far as I can tell ALL of the original GPO4 samples are contained within the GPO5 sample libraries. I've done some fairly extensive research comparing GPO4 to GPO5.
#GARRITAN PERSONAL ORCHESTRA 5 WORTH UPGRADING INSTALL#
I guess my question is:ĭo the GPO5 extracted files have to be on the C drive or can they remain on the F drive and I still install the GPO5 program on the C Main drive?
Restarting my computer removed the not responding message. Hope you won't mind if I jump in here? Mack
